TỔNG QUÁT

1/. Ban Hợp Xướng và Dàn Nhạc “Suối Việt” được thành lập ngày 30/12/2003 do hai đồng sáng lập viên là : Linh Mục Đaminh Ngô Quang Tuyên (hiện là Cha Sở nhà thờ Phú Xuân – Nhà Bè) và Nhạc trưởng Đaminh Nguyễn Bách.

2/. Hiện nay Ban Hợp Xướng Suối Việt được hướng dẫn bởi Nhạc trưởng Nguyễn Bách.


Ban Hợp Xướng Suối Việt

Mục đích hoạt động:

– Thể hiện lại những vẻ đẹp của âm nhạc Công giáo dùng trong và ngoài Phụng Vụ, đã có từ bao đời nay trong Giáo Hội cũng như trong sáng tác của các nhà soạn nhạc kinh điển thế giới.

– Bên cạnh mục đích bảo tồn, Suối Việt còn mong muốn tái tạo loại âm nhạc đó kết hợp với tính dân tộc và hiện đại cho phù hợp với nhu cầu của con người ngày nay qua việc thể hiện nghệ thuật hợp xướng và dàn nhạc mang đặc tính Việt Nam kết hợp với tinh hoa của âm nhạc kinh điển thế giới.

Tôn chỉ hoạt động:

– Dùng âm nhạc làm ngôn ngữ chung, là sợi dây nối kết những người yêu loại âm nhạc nghiêm túc, không phân biệt tôn giáo để dễ cảm thông và chung sức xây dựng một nền âm nhạc nghiêm túc, đậm nét dân tộc.

– Dùng âm nhạc như một phương tiện để thực hiện các công tác xã hội, vì tình người để luôn coi trọng việc giúp đỡ tha nhân, những người có hoàn cảnh bất hạnh.

4/. Ngày truyền thống : 30/12 hằng năm.

Ngày lễ thánh bổn mạng: 08/08 hằng năm – Thánh Đaminh.

5/. Tổng số thành viên hiện nay: 50 (chính thức) và 20 (dự phòng)

6/. Đặc điểm :Thành viên Suối Việt phần lớn là học viên thuộc Nhạc viện t/p HCM, trong đó nhiều em có gia đình ở các Tỉnh, Thành khác. Vì thế ưu điểm là có nhiều ca viên trẻ được đào tạo và có trình độ nhạc lý nhất định, tuy nhiên nhược điểm là số lượng ca viên thường biến động và hay thay đổi.
